Safety Saturday: Top 3 Gun Safety Tips During Weapon Training
This #SafetySaturday, we would like to present you with the top three gun safety tips during weapon training.
1. Removal of lime ammunition from the premises- No weapons containing live ammunition should be accessible on the premise at all. If they are available, they may be used during the training protocols on accident.
2. Use of the gun’s safety- Engaging in a gun’s safety even if there is no ammunition will lead to good, responsible habits. It also ensures the type of ammunition used, that there is no opportunity for accidental discharge.
3. Training officers should lead by example- Guns, even when they are not loaded with live ammunition, should be treated with care.
