Memorable Monday: Police Officer Jonathan DeGuzman
This #MemorableMonday, we would like to honor Police Officer Jonathan M. DeGuzman from the San Diego Police Department.
Police Officer DeGuzman was shot and killed as he and his partner conducted a subject stop near the intersection of Acacia Grove Way and 38th Street at approximately 11:00 pm. The subject shot Officer DeGuzman's partner once in the neck before shooting Officer DeGuzman five times as he was still sitting in the police car.
Officer DeGuzman had served with the San Diego Police Department for 16 years and was assigned to the Gang Suppression Unit. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Our Ballistic Resistant System would have saved Officer DeGuzman’s life. The Ballistic Resistant System is specifically designed for standard municipal and state police vehicles. It consists of a network of panels that are installed within the interior of the vehicle door panels, thus hidden from sight
.
With your helping hands, the In The Spirit of Giving Foundation™ will be able to provide the extra protection needed to save law enforcement officer’s lives, just like DeGuzman. To make a donation, please go to our GoFundMe- www.gofundme.com/protectingthose
